I have been searching for an inspiration photo for a kitchen update and now I’ve found it. I have a white tile backsplash that I didn’t want to take down but I wanted dark cabinets. Your kitchen is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for sharing. It’s gorgeous.

One of my daughters wanted black in her kitchen and I didn’t think I would like them…..in your house they look beautiful! I will tell her.

I just had to laugh at your before kitchen, not because i am a meanie, but because it LOOKS LIKE MINE!!!! We just moved from a house with a kitchen we re-did…it was gorgeous. Now, I have a new home, with an old kitchen. Never thought of black….but that looks just wonderful! Great ideas, wonderful blog!

Have stumbled upon your blog recently and am really enjoying it! In the photo of your kitchen, are those tulips that you have planted inside a jar? That’s what it looks like, but I’m not sure. What a great idea! I’ve never heard of doing that, but think it’d be a great way to spruce things up in the early spring..not sure when you planted them though..oh this is getting long. So sorry!

I just happened to come across your blog and I’m in LOVE!!! Could you please tell me what kind of paint and primer you used on your kitchen cabinets? I’ve wanted to paint mine black for so long and was scared to death, but seeing yours has given me courage!!! Thanks so much!!
