pizza and picasso

We found a highly skilled artist to pencil sketch this portrait of us…
…who happens to be an anthropomorphic mouse.
It only cost us one token. And it’s signed. Stupid rat. I’m gonna make a killing from this on eBay.

What the–? Do they have a booth or something, or do you bring in a photo and stick it in a machine? I can’t imagine fat ol’ Chuck himself sitting down with a pencil.

  2. His Girl says:

that rat is awesome. my vainer daughter (the one who is a mini me- hmmmm) used to spend DOLLARS worth of tokens on that machine. haha.

  3. TAMI says:

We’ve done this too, though it’s been a long time. Maybe we should plan to visit again soon!

  4. Scrapper Mom says:

I love it. We have a picture just like this. We are currently trying to fill up a “reading log” for extra tokens before our next visit with Chuck E!

  5. Jen says:

Very funny! I always thought the rat was disturbing…

  6. Kitty Scraps says:

I haven’t been to Chuck E. Cheese’s in over 15 years! Cool machine though, they didn’t have that one when we were going there.

  7. Darlene says:

I was thinking what a great sketch till I saw the next picture….lol. We haven’t been to Chuck E. Cheese in awhile. Neat machine!!

  8. Caroline says:

We always went to Showbiz Pizza – the much more exciting sister to Chuck E. Cheese. Chuck E. obviously had more staying power though, as he’s still around. Adam told me he was always scared of the “animal band” in the auditorium. I used to think there were real people in those costumes! The innocence of children. Great picture by the way.

  9. Kari says:

But did you play SKEE BALL?

  10. Kimba says:

HA! That’s pretty much the only way I get included in family photos. You know…being the family photographer and all. I have one with my older son from a couple of years ago that I treasure.

  11. Marvelous Mom...just Managing:) says:

Too funny….please tell me you didn’t go to the Fr.Center one on a Saturday. You brave, brave girl. At least you’ll make big bucks on the masterpiece.:)

  12. Beth (A Mom's Life) says:

I love that machine at CEC! Those drawings always turn out great…Chuck is super talented!

  13. SurvivingBeautiful says:

Love it – had the same type of thing done at Balboa Park in SD – and it turned out to me one of my favorite pictures of me and my hubby. Now I know where to go for an updated one! ;-)

  14. The Roost'er says:

    Love it!

Isn’t it grand how one twin looks like you and one looks like your hubby?

And man-oh you look like your sister (in photos, cuz it ain’t like I know ya…) in that drawing!

Just found you thru TCB. Love your posts!! I’ll be back!

  16. Kim - ScrapToMyLu says:

We have about a hundred of the pictures of my kids riding in the car next to Chuck E.. Sometimes the photos would get “off” somehow and you’d end up with the picture of the kid who was riding in the car right before you. That always confused my boys!

It’s still Jennifer P. by the way!–guess I’ll log out and log back in as myself before I leave any more comments ;) !

  17. HeathahLee says:

We have several of those photos floating around here, and of the ones in the car, too. In fact, my favorite picture of Kiddo and his best friend was taken in that little car!

  18. At Home Redesigns says:

    Ha! I love it.
