As it turns out, soon is a relative term. Thanks for caring about my new blog design. I’ve loved reading the comments and emails from you who have been waiting with me. I’m glad you all are excited too. We have to wait a little longer, as my fabulously talented, hard-working blog designer is not quite ready. I can’t wait to tell y’all about her.
In other news, this weekend I’m having 22 high school senior girls to my house. All night. No, my house isn’t big enough for that. Yes, it was my idea. No, I haven’t lost my ever-lovin’ mind. This sleepover is a product of a project I’ve been working on with Kendra (you know, the beautiful and talented cook from My First Kitchen?) I look forward to telling you more about it.
How about something I can tell you now?
BlissDom is next week in Nashville. If you haven’t heard, it is a blogging conference hosted by the online magazine Blissfully Domestic. I can’t wait to meet some of my favorite bloggers in real life. Last BlissDom was a blast, as seen here. I’ll be sure to tell you about this years conference later.
Until then, I’m off to stock the bathrooms with toilet paper. I’m having lots of company tomorrow. And if you are reading this and going to BlissDom, say so in the comments if you’d like.

I’m not going to Blissdom but can’t wait to hear all the stories again at breakfast the “day after”. lol
I’m not going to the conference but my bff Kat and I ARE going to Nashville just to crash some parties! We are even staying at the same hotel! Woo hoo! We just couldn’t let y’all get three hours from us and not high-tail it up there to meet y’all!
I had 20ish of the college student leaders in our ministry over for an appreciation dinner on Wednesday night, and it was crazy, but so fun too. It does get hectic with that many bodies in one little house, but it is also a joy to hear all their voices and laughter and see them connecting and enjoying the time. I’m sure you’ll be totally exhausted after a whole weekend of girl fun, but I’m sure it will be that content exhaustion that is quickly forgotten…until you host your next event.

Alas, I will not be at Blissdom. I almost signed up about a month ago but seeing as how it would require weaning my 14-month-old and shelling out money we really don’t have…I am not meant to go. This time.
And as it turns out, my baby is weaning himself after all…but I have not gotten rich yet.
You better believe I am hoping to be at Blissdom ’10.
I am, however, seriously considering She Speaks (If it’s not too late to sign up. I’ve heard it sells out quickly.) Will you be there?
