waging war against asthma

sick

Back in town just in time to comfort the wheezy, dripping toddler boy. Love is spilling out through cups of extra orange juice and smokey, rumbling breathing machines. Hopefully the meds will chase the sick away. Until then, this mommy is otherwise engaged.

Oh girl, we know all about some breathing treatments! We do them twice a day, EVERY DAY! I feel your pain! Hope he feels better soon!

Awwww. I hope he gets to feeling better real soon. Glad you made it home cause Mommy always makes you feel better faster. Take care~

  4. Oh, I’m so sorry. My 3 year old son has “allergy induced asthma,” so we are well acquainted with the breathing treatments. For this last round of allergy fun, I ordered him a nebulizer mask that looks like a dragon. It made it a lot more fun for him to see the “smoke” coming out of the dragon’s nose than out of the regular pediatric mask. Food for thought in case you get desperate. ;)

I hope he’s feeling better soon!

  5. Shilo says:

Poor little buddy! Hope he’s better soon!

  6. Trisha says:

Good luck. I will say an extra pray tonight. Asthma can be a bit scary. Thank heavens for great meds and loud breathing machines. Having grown up with asthma I know how much it stinks. When my own son was diognosed I decided to do all I could to control it. So if you ever feel that way; check out the book “Controlling your childs Asthma”. It was super helpful for us.

  7. Rachel says:

  22. Karen P. says:

Hey girl! We will be praying. I have asthma, but so far, the kids don’t. Hopefully it will stay that way. Take care (of him and you!).

  23. Joylynn says:

I remember giving the breathing treatments to my younger brother when he was just a wee little kid – the smell of the medicine/steam will probably linger in my nostrils for the rest of my life. It was comforting to see it help my brother breathe easier.

  24. loraena says:

Poor thing! I feel like I am just getting inducted into the asthmatic children’s club. My 16 month old daughter has bronchioitis for the second time this year and they think she will end up being diagnosed with asthma. We’re doing the nebulizer thing too! It’s so scary when she is wheezing! No one on my side of the family has asthma, so it is definitely unfamiliar territory for me!

  25. my girlfriend has Asthma and this disease really annoys her. Her asthma is usually triggered by pollens or dust mite.
