After all that talk of springy bokeh on Monday, we had a blast of winter blow through the South. Like thick shaving cream piled high on skinny sticks, the trees were heavy with white. You can imagine how many photos I took of the snow. Turns out I’m not very good at photgraphing snow. This one was my favorite.

That’s cool how you’ve hired someone to sign all your photos now.
Oh, I know, we had that same system come through here Saturday. I was having SO much fun taking pictures when MY BATTERY DIED! And I wasn’t getting out on frozen streets to get one. Oh, well, I think I got a few pretty good shots. This one of yours is beautiful!
That is a beautiful picture. You are very talented!
It’s lovely! I love the contrast with the clear blue sky.
hi! i found where i am supposed to leave a comment! yippee! i have been having a hard time… i guess i am just slow to figure out your new beautiful site
you may have had to take a lot of photos to get that one of the snow, but it was worth it- the one you posted just captures the snow like clouds of cotton… beautiful!
Very cool photo. It looks like cotton. I like your description too of shaving cream.
Have a good day. Kelly
I LOVE your pictures!!!
Yea! For once it wasn’t us. Though I shouldn’t speak too soon because they’re predicting it for later this week. After sun and 68 yesterday. I hate utah weather. The only reason we do not move south is because it took too long for the husband to get his current job. sad.
yeah–and i wish my photos were even a fraction as good. or my camera.
Great picture, Emily!
what a beautiful snow!
i saw the comment by Melissa right above, and had a brain melt for a minute, trying to remember, if i had already said my comment. anyway, probably not, because she was very to the point and precise, and you know I’m NEVER that way.
great pic…and i love the little signature on your pics, btw.
Gorgeous picture! For some reason it makes me think of cherry trees in bloom – maybe all the puffy balls of snow ?
That is one pretty picture, really GOOD job.
We had the same strom hit Boston and it was a slow drive home.

You are doing GREAT at taking pictures! I like how you’ve posted so many lately! I love ‘em!
Oh my gracious..that is an amazing picture of snow…wow.
sandy toe
so jealous of your snow – I know everyone is wanting my spring, but I just totally missed winter! Great shot!
wow – that sky is so blue! if this was one of those photos where you zoomed in real close and was asked what it was I would have guessed cotton balls
I love your description of the snow, Em. Looks like tomorrow is a go! Cross your fingers.
I love it! I was hoping for a snow picture. Can you believe that warm weather will return a mere five days after that crazy storm?
Wow, that picture makes me wish I lived somewhere with real seasons! Here our temperatures vary between 28 and 32C, and the only change is the humidity. I would love to wake up one day to snow outside =o)
It turns out that you ARE good at photographing snow, I usually glance at pictures…but this one is WAY cool. Seriously awesome! You’re doing good girl.
love this picture, too! wish i could see the others! stay warm.
This one is beautiful! I can see why it was your favorite!
you have just an adorable blog!!! came over from your sister at the nester. great re-do!! all that talent runs in your family
cracking up at dad.
from this angle it looks like every branch has 500 lbs of snow. lucky, you get everything.
The picture reminds me of cotton.
