stuff

So I’ve been doing stuff. Like today, I was busy not taking a shower and watching my kids eat oreos while I also gazed at the pile of laundry that needed folding. And tonight I stared at our kitchen cabinets for a loooong time. That took a while.

I did make dinner. And I cleaned the children. And I finished a novel that I started while I stood in line on election day. It only took me 4 months to finish a book. Awesome.

I will say the knobs on the cabinets are half done. I maned up and worked that drill. Arg. I’ll be able to show you that soon.

So yeah. I’ve been doing stuff. In the meantime, it’s Chickadee’s birthday this week and she’s hosting lots of giveaways. There’s two days left so you still have time to enter.

Admin Note: The comments are going to look a little crazy for the next day or so, but they’ll still work just fine.

LOL! I stared at my entry way closet for several hours once before inspiration hit. Staring can be a wonderful use of time. Even when I know what I’m going to do sometimes I have to stare at if for a long time before I actually do it. Staring is important. Do not underestimate the value of a good stare. Or Oreos.

Doing stuff sounds like fun. I’m looking forward to doing “stuff” this weekend.

You ever have the feeling that you’re being watched? I’ve had it for the last few days & it’s really strong right now – I think it’s coming from this basket of clothes that need folding that’s sitting right beside me as I type. I’ve determined that you can’t do everything all at one time. Glad you got that book finished and enjoy your Thursday.

I want to see a picture of you “manning the drill”.

    Have a great day!

I guess I have been busy doing stuff too. I pulled all the junk out of my closet so I can now walk in there. Problem is now I can’t walk around my bathroom. I guess I’ll need to pull all the junk out of my bathroom now!

Sometimes we just have to clean the children.

    I prefer every other Wednesday.

You should only pull all the junk out of your bathroom in alternate years and on days that start with “y”

Stuff. Friend or foe? Depends on the day I guess. I’m going away this weekend so today it is my foe. I have to get enough stuff done so I can relax while I’m gone. I’m sure we (me and stuff) will be on speaking term again when I get back.

I’m busy not doing stuff, too. Like not cleaning the house or even hardly picking up while the whole family is sick with the crud. I guess it might make all of us feel better if something was actually clean.

I had a “stuff” day yesterday too. Trying to make up for it today!

i do stuff ALL the time. lots of that time involves sitting on the toilet staring at our lack of baseboards and worn out vanity, thinking i really ought to do something about them.

Stuff…it usually takes precedent over the STUFF I need to be doing on a daily basis. :-) Sometimes you gotta do whatcha gotta do…

Yep – you’ve been doing the important STUFF… so what book did you finish? It must have been a nail biter….hee hee…4 months later. :)

I will never underestimate the importance of staring again. I think your day sounds lovely…and funny. Your post gave me a giggle.
