another tuesday gift

vacation

A thousand words aren’t nearly enough to tell you what this picture means to me. I know it looks like a sweaty, watered-down pink lemonade and a blurry salad, but to me it means 10 years worth of summers on Hilton Head Island. So even though my head has leftover fog from real life back home still swirling and smoking and clouding the view, I am purposing to remain in this moment, the one I’ll be wishing for in about two weeks while standing knee deep in laundry. What moments are you choosing to live to the hilt? Share them with us by linking up below and let’s unwrap our Tuesday together.

i’m going to link up with this tomorrow, i promise. it’ll just take me a while to get the photos up and ready. hilton head sounds perfectly lovely and just like something wonderful from a book i read. maybe i’ll get to go there someday.

you mentioned in your last post you’d been writing a lot. so, what are you writing? is it a secret?

  9. deb says:

okay first of all , I am so thrilled that we are kind of thinking along the same lines of blur and fog. Summer is draining and fulfilling all at once.
I hope you savour every moment of your holiday and every soggy salad.

I’ve linked in today.. although the laundry still awaits :)

  10. Amy says:

We took our kids to Hilton Head last summer for a family vacation. It was our first trip there. It was the best vacation we have ever taken. If we were close enough to drive instead of fly we would go back their every year.

  11. Oh your image just oozes vacation Emily!

This week I linked up to my other blog – because I felt the message behind it needed to be read by more women. Note, my “gift” wasn’t in the *bathing suit* so much as the reason behind it.

Certainly made me think, and grow as a woman… as I did something I so. didn’t. want. to. do.

    Happy Tuesday everyone!

    Dear Emily,

I hope you’re having a wonderful time at Hilton Head. We’re headed for Kiawah next week. Amazing what a little time at the beach can do for your soul.

    Blessings,
    Richella
