Thank you all for being so encouraging about this new adventure I’m on these days. I knew you would be, but there is always a bit of fear in the risk. I appreciate your support and I look forward to giving you more details in the days and weeks to come!
For now, I want to grab the attention of you local-ish peeps and let you all know about a fun opportunity at the end of this month. It is a women’s conference in Charlotte, NC on August 28-29 and the speaker will be one of my personal favorite girls, Lysa TerKeurst. Based on her new book, Becoming More Than A Good Bible Study Girl, the MORE conference will be an opportunity to dive deep into the ‘more’ of life and apply God’s truth to the everyday mess. That girl speaks my language.
While Lysa will be covering the Jesus time, others of us will be covering some practical breakout sessions on Saturday. That is where the nesting comes in.

Yes, you heard that right. We’re talking house, people. If you missed our shenanigans at She Speaks, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to laugh-at-I mean-learn-with this giggly sister act. The Nester and I will be there to give detailed step-by-step instructions on how to mistreat your windows with real fabric and everything. And by The Nester and I, I mean The Nester. I will smile real big and point. Trust me, you don’t want to miss that.

Our session is called It Doesn’t Have To Be Perfect To Be Beautiful. Are you surprised? We’ll also give you some creative ideas for wall hangings and simple, kid-friendly decor. I can help with that part. If you want confidence and beauty in your home but can’t afford a makeover, this session will give you the practical advice you need to creating a home that reflects your priorities and respects your budget.
Don’t you want to come and join the fun? For more information about the conference, visit Southbrook’s Women’s Conference site.

Hope to see you there!

I have yet to see those black framed photos on your wall! I love em.
We can talk about those for at least 2 minutes. Only what, 43 more to fill?
I have a headache. Just kidding, I don’t have a headache, I love speaking. Just kidding, I hate speaking, why do people keep asking, just kidding I think we are entertaining but hope informative, just kidding I have not any information of worth, will you do it all? just kidding. Not really.
Ack, so not fair! Ya’ll get to go to all the cool stuff!! I would love to come but don’t think I could swing it — it’d be great to hang out and watch you and Nester together
So adorable! Have a wonderful time there!!
what time Saturday? I may just be crazy and drive the 6 hours.
you girls are a mess! LOVE it! hope I can make it happen to come!
I’ve been waffling on whether or not to go, but since *you’re* going to be there, I just sent in my registration. Can’t wait to see you again!
I would LOVE to go hear y’all! I love both of your blogs, and I wish I could have you come to my house & decorate! My sister is moving to Hilton Head that weekend, and it’s my husband’s birthday…. so it just won’t work. I’ll look forward to lots of pictures though
the whole thing sounds awesome…wish I could be there.
can we move North Carolina close to Colorado???
Ha, I love Nester’s comment…I know exactly what she is talking about. Laughing that she keeps agreeing to speak but you know, the more you do it, the easier it will be. Plus, it is decorating and not talking blogging. That will be fun.
Wish I could be there that drive from Seattle is a killer.
You go girls! Have fun!
Have fun! Sisters are the greatest, aren’t they?
Oh my goodness! That is only about 5 minutes around the corner from me! My life is crazier right now than it’s probably ever been, but I just might try to make it, if only to meet you and your sis.
I will be there… can’t wait!
oh oh, I wish I were a local!
oh golly gee, I wish I were closer…I’d be there in a heartbeat…..no kidding. You and your sis??? winning combo in my book!
Suzanne
I think I will hitch a ride back with my brother and sis-in-law who live there and are visiting here. Okay, not really, but a girl can dream right? A conference that focuses on God with a dash of girlie stuff too? Sounds fantabulous!
You two are so cute, you’ll both do great!
I’m glad you are enjoying my egg paintings.
Oh, my heart!!! I just read about this conference on Lysa’s blog and was really leaning toward going. I really wanted to go. Now I just HAVE to go!!! I would love to see you both again, and cheer you on! How fun!!! As soon as I get the clearance from hubby, I am all over the registration!! Blessings!!
I would love go…I live in Greenville,SC…you would not be too far. However, my hubby is out of town and I ahve no one to watch my kiddos..:( So, I will d othe next best thing…pray for you. I pray that God will bless you both and your time of fellowship is rewarding and full of JOY!
Yup, a hop, skip and a jump for me and I’ll be there (kidding – wish!)
Love you girls!
The dynamic duo at it again…what a joy those ladies are in for.
Can’t come, but can’t wait to hear all about it.
Oh and I forgot to tell you that I am still saving one of our puppies for you…yellow lab, just waiting to get dog hair on your nice slipcover. xoxo
love the new look of the living room!!!
Sounds like so much fun. Hope you blog about your sessions
Oh I wish I lived closer!!!
I love your black frames above the couch.
Mind telling us where you got them and the size?
Yet one more reason I wish I lived closer to NC. I have been bombarded with things this summer which make me wish I lived near y’all! (and not just bloggy things, so don’t think I would just stalk y’all. Okay, maybe I would, but don’t think that.) : )
I just peed at Nester’s SNL skit up there. WAAAAAAAAAAAha….you girls…
I love the gold color on your walls. What color is it?
My friend just introduced me to your blog. She said it would be right up my alley. She was right! I immediatly recognized Lisa Terkhyrst’s name because I have heard her speak. She is fantastik and hilarious. I had planned to go to SheSpeaks, but went to Africa instead. I”m hoping to be there next summer, and I hope you will be there too with your inspiring decor. I need all the help I can get!
