I for one am quite glad that you don’t have a decorating blog, or a scrapbooking blog, or a make-up blog. Other bloggers do those things very well and I enjoy reading their blogs. But I also love reading your blog, especially because it is personal, and about things of the heart and faith, that matter. Because it is different. And it has beautiful photography. Thanks for being the blogger He created you to be, even though it isn’t always comfortable!

I’ve written three book proposals and the books to go with them over the past three years. I’m currently writing my fourth book. I have a completely different approach to the process. I don’t farm my ideas out to publishers before writing; I simply write the entire book because I like the process. I know it goes against everything “they” tell us, but I’m not one for a lot of hoops and game playing. I simply write because God has put it in my heart to do so. I’ve not landed a book deal yet, but I am confident of my words mattering; whether to a large audience or to a small one, the gifting to pen my heart is one I take seriously; I cannot put strings on where God might take my words. The only string attached is the one that leads me to the obedience of penning them. At the end of the day, I am a better person for the surrender. I know God more now, then I ever would have should I have neglected the words within.

I enjoyed reading several of your posts tonight. I smiled so much and thoroughly enjoyed myself. You have a gift from the Lord that is refreshing. Honestly. I hope you are able to just release the fear of failure and just trust Him. I’m going through the same thing…with art…I want desperately to live full time on just being an artist. I am sometimes afraid it won’t work out. But I have to let go too and just allow God to work…(so He gets the glory, not me). Thanks for sharing. I really LOVE your blog and will be following you for sure!

I wish I could write a book. (I will not compare myself to others … I will not compare myself to others) You write a great blog and if God has laid a book on your heart, He will help you write it. I can’t wait to hear the details.

There’s no way for me to tell you how giddy I am that you even know who I am.

ALSO, Can I tell you what? I get you. Sometimes I feel like writing the heart-goo is like one of those dreams where you rode all the way to school on the bus and forgot to put on any clothes at all, and the whole time, there’s nothing you can do about it.

I wish I were a ballerina. I wish I were a technical writer about plate tectonics, but alas, we (and so many bloggers who visit you) deal in heart, the down-deep pushed right up there to the surface with our grocery lists.

I’m sure I speak for many when I say I can’t wait to hear more. As for losing focus and procrastinating the stuff that takes emotional energy, I am so there. “Manic coupon cutting…” oh, I have been manic alright. And snappy. Funny how manic and avoidance are bedfellows like that, at least for me.
