the cloudy bright side

snuggles

After a big weekend of too much fun, the common cold seems to have caught up with all of us. I will be busy today trying to find the gifts in the midst of the tissues and whine. We’ve read three stories already and it’s only 7:30 am. Here’s to forced family time and extra cuddling. There are still a few clouds on the bright side, but I’m getting there.

Been hit with a case of the unexpected? Look for the gifts in the midst of it and come back tomorrow to tell us about it for Tuesdays Unwrapped. I look forward to some bright-side perspectives.

Aw, I’m so sorry to hear your family is sick! We’ve been fighting a cold, so far nothing more than runny noses, thankfully.

  2. Ashley says:

I LOVE your blog, and I absolutely love the design. How do I get in touch with the designer?

  3. Kristen says:

Yuck! What a bummer to be sick after such a fun weekend. Here’s praying that y’all recover soon!

i can imagine that the gifts will be plenty… among the tissues and runny noses. maybe mixed in with the snuggles. there is nothing like a snuggle to brighten my day!

  5. Sissy says:

You know you wanted some more family time, right? ;) Hope everyone feels better soon.

Oh, and what were you making with the okra? I so have to know.

  6. dawn says:

Snuggle and enjoy best you can–and pray for big naps!

  7. Oh, bless your hearts. We are just getting over being sick and it was horrible. We had it for over 2 weeks! The lovely unexpected bright side of my cloud was getting to sleep until 9:30 or 10am every morning and taking afternoon naps. When Indy is sick, he wants to sleep and sleep. Hurrah!

  8. Hopefull says:

Perfect timing! I just got done saying to myself and a little out loud “but we don’t have TIME to be SICK!” we have reports due and basketball practice to get to!

On my way now to my son’s bed to read, snuggle and get through some flashcards.

  9. Sadly, sometimes I actually embrace a (minor) illness because it forces me to slow down, stay inside, snuggle on the couch and just be. Sort of pathetic that it takes an illness to do that…

Hope you’re all feeling better soon!
