One thing everyone says during blog conferences is that the best part is what happens between the sessions. A few years ago, I would never have dreamed that the women I read online would become women I know in real life. Those are Emily’s hands, holding her warm cup too early on Saturday. We sat, just the two of us, face to face at a small table by the wall. She is a listener, a question-asker, a truth-seeker. And now she is a real-life friend. I so like her. What a gift.

Oh, what fun y’all must have had. I had to fight off envy of those of y’all who got to go to BlissDom. I finally settled in to wistfulness. I was glad to be home with my husband on his birthday, glad to be home with my kids on Super Bowl weekend. . . and yet I wished I could be at BlissDom, too.
Well. I shall just live vicariously through your photographs. Thank you for making those available!

Oh how I needed this one today
I really wanted to go to Blissdom this year, but it didn’t happen. I am setting my sights on the Relevant conference as my first one. Then maybe Blissdom next year.
I bet it was simply amazing. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t wishing I was there. And I’m hoping that one day we’ll get to do the coffee thing. Emily is a lucky girl. : )

I just found your site from your sister’s when she had a link to the 7 questions to help people refine their purpose of their blog. I don’t have a blog but my daughters do and I have been thinking of starting one. However, I don’t know what I would blog about so hence those questions were intriguing and have given me something to think about. Then I skimmed down to read several entries and one caught my eye – your honesty dealing with two babies – see I have twin daughters (will be 30 this year)and I too didn’t have much “quiet time” but sure have spent a lot of time in prayer – still do – thank you for telling it like it is. P.S. They will be grown up before you know it.
