Love in the midst

{love}

Love shows up in the most unlikely places. Here’s to choosing to see it, and to love in return.

Love in the midst of great loss @ To Think.

Love in the midst of forgiveness @ The Run a Muck.

Love in the midst of arts and crafts gone wrong @ Like Merchant Ships.

Love in the midst of sickness and health @ Holy Experience.

Love in the midst of a hot dog joint @ My First Kitchen.

Where has love shown up for you lately?

  1. I don’t think my husband and I have gone one night this week without a child in our bed. So I guess you could say love has shown up in the midst of children. :)

Life with three kids, all under the age of six, is chaotic and crowded…and it’s just gonna get worse (better?) when baby #4 arrives in June. So, even though I’m not gonna get a fancy night out tomorrow, I might get to cuddle on the couch and watch our favorite TV show with him after the kids go to bed. Right now we’re taking what we can get and making the most of it.

Thanks for sharing the links to those posts. I’d already read a couple of them and enjoyed the rest!

Love in the snow-filled air. Last night my youngest and I were out in the snow as it fell. Beautiful…as is your photo.

love the picture! for me, love has shown up in the midst of work while trudging through the snow to watch kiddos play on the slide during recess. absolutely precious.

  5. if lately counts as in this past year… I’d say right here.
thanks for seeing and helping us see love, Emily
Happy Valentines’ Day to you and yours, and thank you for bringing so much to others, myself included.
    you bless

I have seen love in the sinkful of dishes quietly washed and put away, heard it in the sound of the vacuum cleaner running, felt it in the heat from the gas turned on in the fireplace. While the big moments are still nice, after eighteen years of marriage it’s those thoughtful little ones that show me the depth of my husband’s love for me.

  7. His love in the midst of hurt.
His love in the midst of brokenness.

For me love has been in the midst of everyday life challenges. My fiancee has to be the most romantic man I have ever met! EVEN though we have only had TWO dates without children present! LOL I actually just wrote an article about this exact subject!!! I’d love to get your opinion on it Emily!!! http://zoelog.wordpress.com/2010/02/14/my-best-friend-and-valentine-for-life/

    Thanks, Emily!!
