Sometimes when it’s hard to see with the eyes I’ve been given, I strap on my camera and pray for new ones. I did that yesterday. It helped.

*Sometimes it is hard to see* … I popped over one last time to see if you had posted something new just before I shut down the ‘puter for the evening…
I sit at a crossroads with that paralysis that seems to accompany me as I peer into a fog others call ‘change.’ Indeed, sometimes it is hard to see.
Perhaps I need to look through the lens. I think I would find folded laundry that needs to be stored in hand-me-down boxes. Boxes of cereal that don’t fit into the unorganized pantry. Images that remind me of the blessings that do exist in this little home.
Thanks for the encouragement to look with different eyes – seeing the blessings rather than the To Dos.
The fog lifts gently.

I needed a perspective shift. I had a rough afternoon and evening. This helped. I think tomorrow (okay it’s already tomorrow for me)I’m going to ask to see the world with through His eyes because I’ve only been seeing circumstances through mine. And I think I’ll take my camera out tomorrow too.
Love the perspectives. And I admire you for looking for new ways to see.

I like how you know that sometimes the right perspective takes WORK and ACTION! I also love your pictures. Thanks for the reminder.
Beautiful as usual.
a very nice thought and action, indeed
your words brought the following to mind:
maybe i’d see much better by closing my eyes.
then i would shed this grown up skin i’m in
and touch an angels wing…i would be free
help me believe.

i like this…”closing my eyes” to see more clearly. how beautiful. your images are that today. they speak of how gracious He is to let us see glimpses of Him and His marvelous design…his little legs. her hair reflecting the sun. what a gift to have taken it in.
Gorgeous pictures!
There is nothing like putting that camera up to your eye and capturing a moment that you can review at a later time. To capture such a moment only allows us to focus on what we would have missed at the time it was taken.
When you are taking pictures, you are looking for these moments to capture. Without a camera, I am often distracted by other less important things.
I say this so often when I visit here: beautiful. Just beautiful. Your words and your images provoke that response in me more often than anyone else’s. What a gift you have.
Have you found anything that works to help you have ears to hear?
love these… i know just what you mean!
Beautiful words. Beautiful pictures. Thank you.
Simple words, silver chain — our souls refreshed. Praying for you sweet friend.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the intro to this post. Perfectly and simply eloquent. Love the first photo too.
great pics….
Oh. Thank you…I needed this today.
Definitely takes the lens somedays to help us see. I have to have Through the Lens moments frequently.
I love your eyes…
Beautiful shots! And what a great idea.
I know sometimes when there are those moments were things are a huge mess/ accidents occurred things got broken.. if I put on my camera and take a few pictures to record the moment, then I am able to realize it is just that, the moment and life will go own.
I completely agree with you. I sometimes think I prefer to view the world through my lens. My lens has a perfect memory- my eyes don’t. Beautiful pictures
I love to do this, too. Just wish I did it more often. It’s funny how looking at the world through a camera lens can help you be more in the moment. So many people think the opposite…that you’re missing the moment, or hiding behind the camera.
The memories you’ve captured in these photographs are precious!
On another note, do you have a favorite camera? I’m ready for a change and would love to know! †Linsey
What beautiful photos! Your writing prompt really inspired me. I hope you’ll stop by and take a look at what I came up with when you have some time. By the way, I love your blog!

What a grand idea! Beautiful!
Quick question: How do you imbed your copyright on your photos?
thanks for the reminder…in this rushed life we tend to not see the beauties of God!
