pink on a tuesday

I didn’t plant this tulip. It came up from the dirt beside our backdoor the first spring we lived here. It appeared from strong, green, leafy stems. I remember wondering what color it would turn out to be. Sometimes the best gifts are the ones we didn’t know to ask for.

This is a gift, simple and lovely. I’m thankful for those who imagined these blooms that grow and bless by my backdoor. And they planted them even though they knew they wouldn’t always be around to see the pink.

What is your gift today? To find out more about Tuesdays Unwrapped, simply click on the link at the top of this page. There you will also find the code for this button, if you would like to include it in your post. I am using a text linky today rather than the image one I’ve been using in the past. I look forward to entering into thankfulness with you.

Thanks so much, elizabeth! I agree that things are so much easier to find now. I’m wondering what took me so long to make the change! I move slowly on that front…

Thank you for hosting this each week. I look forward to your sweet posts each week. It accomplishes exactly what you intended – to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. I appreciate all you do to make Tuesdays Unwrapped happen each week.

I wanted to grab your new button, but for some reason I can’t right click to copy the code. I can highlight it and that’s it. Is this just a problem on my end?

(Oops. Now I see where others have had the same problem. I was trying from your Tuesdays Unwrapped page.)

Hi Linda – Copy this code:

      tuesdays unwrapped at cats

Then, go to your blog and paste it in the window that says ‘Edit html’. See if that works.

      • Emily says:

oops. the code made the button appear…duh. Go to the top of my blog ‘tuesdays unwrapped’ and scroll down to the bottom. there will be a text box with code in it. You can copy that code and then paste it in ‘edit html’ Or you could not use the button at all, which is probably easier :)

Sweet post. I transplanted free clumps of monkey grass last summer and was surprised this spring by free daffodils. Made me smile every time I parked the car…

I love that the lovely people that owned our home before it came to be ours did the same thing by planting tulips…just for me. At least that is what I tell myself. They are popping up now. everywhere. I will never forget our first spring in this house…I was prayerfully thankful for that blessing. Have a great day.

  16. jj says:

I love the new look by the way. simple and refreshing.

  17. Bobbie says:

Isn’t that the best part about moving into a house? Finding the little unexpected gifts that someone else planted?
