When he worries, my eyebrows furl. When he laughs, I smile. When he reminds me of the truth about trust, I believe him. When he travels, I wish I could go. When he comes home, all is right again. With our schedules as they are, we have missed each other a bit lately. And so in the missing, I am reminded of the gift.
I know it has been said so many times before by so many married people, but this love choice really does amaze me sometimes. And so I pause to notice the overwhelming gift this man is to me, and I will try to remember to tell him more often.
What gift are you unwrapping today? If you would like to share it with us, simply go to Tuesdays Unwrapped at the top of this page to see the guidelines and to grab this button to put on your post.

I love how you worded this! And it’s crazy how one twin looks just like her daddy and the other looks just like you! So fun!

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. We often take our men for granted. In our hectic lives, I’ve tried to remember just how lucky I am to have a husband who cares for me. I truly am a lucky woman.

Last night I dreamed that you stopped blogging — the word traveled the blogosphere, and I clicked over to find your last post! A: it’s a little creepy that I am dreaming about the bloggy world (red flag! red flag!), but B. I just wanted to say how sad I was in my dream that I was not going to be able to read your words any longer. Thanks for being here this morning when I woke up!

I love this post. I wished I had written it! I feel the same way and it is so sweet to share that in your words:)
I don’t tell mine often enough I’m afraid. But after a week apart, I’m more aware of how lost I am without him. Your picture is beautiful…it made me smile and say, “Awww.”

Emily what a great picture of you guys! The other night I was driving through your neighborhood heading to my house to grab my bags before coming back to boone. I was with PJ and Renee. I just wanted to tell you how much we respect you and John’s marriage and that we all agreed that you guys are perfect for each other and are amazing individuals!
Very sweet.
) Such a cute picture of y’all.

Yes, absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder, and gives our hearts more love toward the one we’re missing. My husband and I grow in love by leaps and bounds when he’s deployed. And yes, it does continue when he’s home as well–it’s not *because* he’s gone!
I had a moment yesterday that made me think of you and your finding of beauty in the little things, so I decided to join in this week. <3

I kind of know what you mean. My husband was a pastor for a number of years and even though he hasn’t done that for 2 years, not a Sunday goes by that I don’t feel giddy that I “get” to sit next to my husband during church. That means so much to me.
Hey Emily, do your sunglasses sit on top of your head, like, all summer long like mine do? And when you look at yourself in the mirror without them, it looks like a piece of your head is missing?? Know what I mean? Huh?
No?
Oh.
OK, well, I love that picture of you and your honey. You are a gorgeous couple. And I loooove the little square linky pics that let us see each other’s bling before we click! Genius!
Thanks for another Tuesday, and xxxxoooooo to you.
–Laura (but you can call me |||)
I’m loving your photo, as usual. You are lovely people, shining from the inside out.
And I wanted to let you know that for some reason I’m not able to copy and paste on your site. That sounded funny. What I mean is that I typed in my url because it wouldn’t paste. And then I tried to copy the code for the button and click click click and nothing happens. Probably me or my computer. Just wanted you to know why I didn’t add the button on my post. I did link here, but with no button. Please forgive. (and also telling you in case there’s something wrong…copying and pasting in other places is working. And now I’ll stop because I’m clueless about these things.)

I really love that picture of you and The Man. You know, I think maybe we should all be taken aback sometimes by the bigness of this love choice. It really is a Big Deal.
I almost didn’t make it here today. The same boy I wrote about is sick today. We’ve been at the pediatrician’s office instead of safe at home. But I finally made it, and I’m glad to be here, stopping to be thankful for the gifts in this week.
Love you!

You can tell a lot about a person from the people that hang around them. I just found some of the most lovely blogs linked up to Tuesdays Unwrapped…I think I know why!
Thank you,

Here, here! It’s so fun how those “miss you” feelings can echo your early dating days … also funny to me that my post today was about my husband, too.

i love that you do this!
Could the two of you be any cuter? I mean really. Come on! Leave some cuteness for the rest of the world!
Oh, and how do you do that turn your head but look at the camera smile? I want to know. I sooo can’t do it.
What a beautiful celebration of all that real love is!
My husband just returned from being out of town and how content and right my world is with him back home!

Oh, I know how this is! And I’m so thankful that I do.
About a month ago, we were both buried in busyness and took time to commiserate about it. It was nice to know that we were both feeling the crunch, and longing for the time when the busyness would pass and we could breathe together again.
It did come, and it was great.
Isn’t it true though? Sometimes love is so filling, so warming, and so gosh darn wonderful that you just sputter trying to say how it is?
Well, you might not sputter, but i sure do.
You said it well.

That first paragraph is perfection. I feel the same things about my husband. What a gift. Thanks for unwrapping it for all to see.
Blessings,
Linsey
