Because The Man is a youth pastor, Sundays can be hectic and hurried. In some ways, because of Tuesdays Unwrapped, Tuesday has become my Sabbath. It isn’t an entire day of rest, but I generally have the morning to myself for quiet reflection and some serious writing. I also have an opportunity to remember the small and sacred things that make up our everyday life.

I see we both call our spouses The Man.
As fate would have it, my husband was named after Stan Musial (an old baseball player) who was also called Stan The Man. My “Stan” has been called Stan The Man most of his life, too… and he played baseball.

I get Sundays being rushed and crazy….The Man in our house was a youth pastor for 10 years before we came here to work with college students! People always wondered why I looked so frazzled when I arrived to church by myself with 3 kiddos….they had no clue that The Man had been at the church for hours before me….and that trying to get 3 kids and myself ready on a Sunday morning is nearly impossible.

God is SO amazing!!!! He has done so much in my life to celebrate! I am humbled to think about it! Sundays are my sabbath and I love the time spent worshiping Him and serving Him! My week would never be the same without it.
