Stories have always been a happy part of my life. As a girl, I remember sitting in our Iowa basement, typing out scenes on my dad’s black and white typewriter. I even used those strips of white correction tape when I made a mistake. More at (in)courage…

I, too, sat at the typewriter at my dad’s desk… in the basement. I can’t tell you how many rolls of correction tape I went through. I am not where you are, Emily, nor is it my place to be, but I can so relate to what you wrote over at (in)courage today. I am so thankful He is allowing you to use your words to minister to so many of us. For some reason, out of the blue this morning, I woke up excited about your book. I’ve been excited for you and with you all along, but it really got me this morning! Thank you for your gift of words, today and every day.
absolutely loved this one, girl.

I can relate too, Emily! I have always loved to write and used to hand write out plays for my childhood girl friends to “put on” for our neighborhood friends and their families…some of my favorite childhood memories are from all of the stories we would write together.
