31 Days of Grace :: {day 6} to show her

Today is perhaps one of the most important days in this series to me. It is the part of this thing called grace that I struggle with most often. Somewhat of a sister to yesterday’s post, I am continuing Day 6 at (in)courage. Please join me there to read?

If you have missed the first 5 days, simply visit the 31 Days of Grace category page to catch up. And be sure to visit the seven other bloggers who are hosting their own unique 31 Days Series: Nesting Place, Balancing Beauty and Bedlam, My First Kitchen, Life With My 3 Boybarians, Reluctant Entertainer, The Inspired Room, Remodeling This Life.

I can’t tell you how many times I have said I am getting on my own nerves! It was good catching up with you the other day!
So thankful for His Grace today, thanks for the reminder.

  2. I read your article at (in)courage first thing this morning. I can relate to every bit of your post. Loving these Days of Grace, Emily.

  3. “Release the gavel in your mind that you hold against yourself in judgement.” Yes. Exactly what I need to do. I can be my own worst critic/enemy/sympathizer/enabler. Grace is exactly what I need. Not my own… His perfect grace.

  4. Read this one over at Incourage today. But wanted to stop by and make sure you know that your transparency ministers to my heart so much! You reach out and touch so many hearts by the struggles and progress you share with us. God bless you in your grace recovery…you are a precious daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You have been and are being transformed in Him! You are NOT a mess my dear you are a blessing!!!

  5. Emily this is a beautiful post… and how do you know me????? this is so true and I have to remember I am made in the likeness of HIM and I need to clear out the mess I am hiding in.

  6. I’ve been thinking about this post all day since I read it first thing this morning.

So…when the post started out, I thought you were talking about your mother-in-law LOL. And that got me thinking about a whole other thing.

Mostly I just want to say thank you. For all of this. The series has been as you promised at the beginning soul restoring. And it’s only day 6!

I am going to do a whole blog post about your big self. Get ready to graciously receive a little love.

  7. This is a great post, Emily. I’ve been thinking a lot about grace and forgiveness toward myself (and all of us toward ourselves as women and moms), which are probably in many ways the same thing. It’s so true that we can’t go anywhere if we’re blinded by our own hang ups. In a practical way, how do you let yourself loose of those ungracious thoughts? I’d love to hear your insights!
