thankful

After a weekend away, I’m merging back into the rhythm of home. Thank you for your kind and thoughtful words – the weekend was lovely, the women were kindred spirits, and I didn’t faint or burp or accidentally cuss into the microphone. I would say it was a win-win.

There is something beautiful about having the opportunity to say out loud those things that make you come alive, those beliefs that run deep and shape you from the inside out. I’m thankful for the time I had there and this place I have here–to speak truth, to breathe deep, to make art.

And also? It snowed this morning. It’s almost April. Amen.

So glad it went well though sad to hear about the snow. It HAS been long winter and spring is overdue!

I count it such a blessing when I speak or write – to put words to our spiritual journey and know not only does it clarify others but shines light onto our hearts too.

    Thanks for sharing this today

Thank you for doing things like this…sharing your fears and facing of fears. You are really encouraging this timid honeybee to fly. :)

I’m glad you had a good time and the visual of you cussing or burping was too funny. Actually, I accidentally did burp once, but thankfully it was before the microphone was on and I said “fart” one time at a homeschool conference and found out really quickly that is taboo! Glad your speaking experience was much more sophisticated.

Emily, it sorta thrills me that I might be the first to post on your blog since the retreat… I was there! And though I didn’t sense that you almost cussed into the microphone, I thought maybe you almost “tee-teeed” in your britches… Oh wait, maybe that was me when you made us all laugh so much!

You were such a pleasure! Thank you for you bold and easy honesty!

    You are a blessing!

Thanks again for all your honesty and grace. Praying about letting go of those “fear feelings” that i love so much!

Thrilled to hear your speaking engagement went well — I can’t wait to hear you in the real-live at Relevant!
