May your weekend be filled with the warmth of family, the mystery of the incarnation, and the courage to show up for your own life. Embrace the obvious gifts and search for the hidden ones. Grab on to the hands of Joy and Hope and let yourself smile both wide and deep – you are alive, breathing, present, a miracle. Celebrate the truth of it.
for your weekend

Is this your garden shed prettily decorated? x
oh, wouldn’t that be nice?! No, it’s actually from the place where we got our tree this year. I loved the way the fading night sky looked behind the cozy Christmas-y scene. So I snapped a shot and there you go.
The words…. honey to my heart. I am trying so hard to be present, to keep showing up, embracing the grace……
Thanks! There are so many gifts this month. Some of the best ones can go unnoticed in all the hype. You have a great weekend too!
amen and you too! Love the picture…. just gorgeous!
So many years because of addiction and depression, I was not “present”. Because of the birth of that Little Baby, and His presence in my life, I celebrate every minute.
I just ‘found’ you and your words today are just what I needed in the busy-ness of the season and of life in general. God is beginning to give glimpses of new ways to show up for my life – ways I never dreamed possible. Today – I embrace the grace and go out with joy to celebrate who He is – and who I am because of Him!

Hi,
my mom recently showed me your blog and i subscribed to your site… i’ve been receiving your emails and i just wanted to say thank you. thank you for being who God created you to be… for shining bright so that you might encourage and inspire those around you to do the same. thank you for boldly writing the truth without mixing it with fluff. His word is like a double edged sword and that is what we need. so again, thank you.
jonna.
so, this past weekend, got to go hear Behold the Lamb of God at the Cove…and heard Jill Phillip’s new(er) song “Show Up”…you may already even have the cd, but as you well know me…it was all news to me. I told her about you, and how you write about that here…but i absolutely love that song. thought of you when i heard, “if you want to change the world…all you gotta do is show up.”
