I will be spending the day catching up on cuddles and home stories, laundry and the like while trying to remember life without digital cameras, as I took over 1,400 photos at the wedding this weekend. And I wasn’t even the photographer. Speaking of photos, look at these two cutie seniors.

I should have finished editing their photos a week ago. Today is the day. Come back tomorrow and unwrap the small and sacred gifts of your Tuesday. May your perspective be such that it is hard for you to pick just one.

There are currently 10,339 photos on my computer. Needless to say, it’s running slooow. Slow is being forced on me against my will.
The blog is slow today, too. Thank you for your emails letting me know of the errors going on over here. I had no idea. I said out loud to myself that I feel more like I’m howling at the moon than chatting at the sky. And I thought I was so funny. Another forced slowing.
I don’t like traffic slow or phone slow or computer slow. But all slow isn’t bad. I crave soul slow. Perhaps if I find a way to fit some soul space into waiting for the page to load, I would be in a better place. Until then, I’ll be moving photos onto my hard drive, like the one of this cutie-patootie senior above.
Here’s to slowing down. I look forward to doing so with you tomorrow for Tuesdays Unwrapped.

Loved every minute of this vacation. But even with the pile of laundry, the empty fridge and the dead plant on the porch, the best part of being gone is coming home.

“For in the day of trouble, he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
He will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.”
psalm 27:5

This photo is one of my favorites from a shoot I did this week. Their sweet mommy gave me permission to post them on the blog and I’m so glad she did. That baby is only five weeks old so it was kind of a challenge for me to get some good shots of all three of them together. But it was a challenge I was happy to take on. These three were a delight.
Because I’ve been editing photos all week, that is what is on the brain. So I’m sending a few photography links your way:
How to Shoot in Direct Sunlight @ Digital Photography School.
You Capture. Nature. @ I Should Be Folding Laundry.
And not technically a photography post, but definitely involving pictures: Baby Lumps @ Velveteen Mind. A great read. Speaking of babies, let’s peek at one more photo, shall we? What a doll.

The photo contest this week at i heart faces is of silhouettes, a word I have to look up every single time I type it. Also? I would love to be able to have that little heart in my post. But it turns into a question mark when I publish. I do not question faces. I heart faces. So I’m just gonna stick with the word. Now click on the button below and enter yourself in silhouette week.
